Dominated by the ruins of a 16th century Venetian castle built on a hill and surrounded by trails, pines and cypresses, it combines a natural and architectural beauty. A stroll around the narrow alleys reveals colorful houses with pink and white blooms. Walking to the top of the hill and exploring the castle, which is one of the largest in Greece, is a must. Walking back down to the horse-shoe shaped bay reveals a panoramic view of the picturesque village of Assos.
